Tools needed
1/8" wooden dowels (maybe smaller or larger depending upon your beads)
Edge cutter
Flat piece of foam
Tape
Optional: plywood, glue
What to do
Cut the wooden dowels into 4" - 6" lengths depending upon how much space you want to work with.
Wrap tape about each of the cut dowels about 1/2" from the end.
Stick the untapped end into the foam. Make sure there is space between adjacent dowels.
Make sure to wrap the tape thick enough for your bead size
Once your board is full, it should be neat and easy to work with.
The tape acts as a stopper on the dowel that you may mount a bead on the dowel and paint it. Then you can stick the dowel into the foam to allow the bead to dry.
Bead sits on dowel atop tape.
Many beads can dry at once on the board while hands stay clean.
If the foam is not sturdy enough for your use case, glue a piece of plywood to the bottom to give it some extra weight and rigidity.
